Keith Ellison

Keith Maurice Ellison (born August 4, 1963) is an American lawyer and politician belonging to the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. He became the first Muslim to be elected to the United States Congress when he won the open seat for Minnesota's 5th congressional district, which centers on Minneapolis, in the House of Representatives in 2006.

Because Ellison stated an intent to use the Quran instead of a Bible at his photo-op reenactment of the swearing in ceremony, Conservative columnist Dennis Prager wrote a column criticizing him.

Virgil Goode has stated his view that Ellison's decision to use the Quran is a threat to "the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America". He also wrote, "...if American citizens don’t wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Quran."

CNN reported that on the January 4, 2007 (the opening day of Congress), Ellison met Goode on the House floor to shake hands and Goode accepted an offer to talk over coffee.

That same day during his oath reenactment Ellison used a two volume Quran published in London in 1764 that was once owned by Thomas Jefferson and loaned to Ellison. According to Ellison, "It demonstrates that from the very beginning of our country, we had people who were visionary, who were religiously tolerant, who believed that knowledge and wisdom could be gleaned from any number of sources, including the Quran."

طرد العالم المصرى من أمريكا

العالم المصرى عبد المنعم على الغناينى

أصدر مركز سواسية لحقوق الإنسان ومناهضة التمييز بياناَ, يدين فيه ما قامت به الحكومة الأمريكية من انتهاكات بحق عالم أمريكى مسلم, مصرى الأصل, دون أدلة واضحة بسبب الخوف من كل ما هو إسلامى.

وقد تلقى المركز التقارير الإعلامية التى تصف تلك الانتهاكات بحق العالم عبد المنعم على الغناينى, والتى جاءت بسبب ممارسته لحقه فى الرأى والتعبير من خلال انتقاده الحرب الأمريكية على العراق, والمبنية على الخداع من وجهة نظره, وهو ما أدى إلى قيام مسئولين فى وزارة الطاقة وعملاء لمكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالى الأمريكى (أف. بى. آى.) باستجوابه ومعرفة رأيه فى قضايا معينة مثل موقفه من التفجيرات الانتحارية والقرآن الكريم.

وقد أدان المركز قيام وزارة الطاقة بعدم كشف الوثائق التى لديها, والتى ادعت أن لديها معلومات موثوقة, بأن الدكتور الغناينى يشكّل خطراً أمنياً، رافضة الإفصاح عنها بدعوى أنها معلومات سرية وكشفها يمثل خرقاً لقوانين الأمن القومى.

وقد أعلن المركز تضامنه الكامل مع الغناينى فى دعواه القضائية التى رفعها اتحاد الحريات المدنية الأمريكية نيابة عنه إلى وزارة الطاقة, كما طالب الحكومة الأمريكية بالكف عن التذرع بالخوف من الإرهاب لاعتقال المسلمين والعرب وترحيلهم, رغم إنهم لم يرتكبوا أية مخالفات قانونية, ولم يمثلوا تهديداً للأمن القومى الأمريكي.

باكستان تهدد بتصعيد عسكرى ضد الهند

أحداث مومباى تلقى بظلالها على العلاقات الهندية الباكستانية

إعداد هند محمد عن موقع داون دوت كوم البريطانى

تصاعدت حدة التوترات بين الهند وباكستان بعد الاتهامات الهندية للحكومة الباكستانية بالضلوع فى تفجيرات مومباى، التى أسفرت عن مقتل 195 شخصاً. وأكد مسئول عسكرى باكستانى أن السلطات الباكستانية سوف تسحب القوات الباكستانية، التى تعمل على مواجهة الميليشيات الأفغانية، وتضعها على الحدود الهندية الباكستانية، فى حال تصاعد حدة التوترات بين البلدين.

وأشار مسئول آخر، إلى أن ما يسمى بـ "مكافحة الإرهاب"، لن يكون الأولوية الأولى فى حالة تصاعد التوتر بين البلدين، محذراً بذلك الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكافة الدول التى لديها قوات فى أفغانستان من خطورة هذا الانسحاب، حيث تشارك باكستان بقوة قوامها 100.000 على المناطق الحدودية لمحاربة الميليشيات فى عدة مناطق قبلية، ويعتبر وجود القوات الباكستانية ضرورياً للقضاء على تنظيم القاعدة وحركة طالبان فى أفغانستان.

ووصف المسئول الباكستانى اتهامات الهند وشكوكها فى اضطلاع باكستان فى تفجيرات مومباى الأخيرة بالعدائية، وترمى إلى تورط هيئات باكستانية فى هذه التفجيرات، نافياً تورط أى هيئة باكستانية فى تلك التفجيرات، مشيراً إلى أن الاتهامات الهندية تشير فى المقام الأول إلى جماعة مسلحة تطلق على نفسها "لاشكار تابه"، وهى إحدى الجماعات المسلحة التى تحارب الجيش الهندى فى كشمير.

ويقول بعض المراقبين عن هذه الجماعة, إنها تتلقى الدعم من هيئات باكستانية، غير أن إسلام آباد نفت هذه الادعاءات قائلة, إنها تشملهم فقط بالدعم الأخلاقى والدبلوماسى كمقاومين كشميرين أحرار.

عالم مصرى يفوز بجائزة كبار العلماء

جائزة كبار العلماء فى الطب يحصل عليها مصرى

حصل الدكتور سعيد شلبى، أستاذ الباطنة والكبد بالمركز القومى للبحوث، على جائزة " كبار العلماء فى الطب لعام 2008 " والتى يمنحها المجلس الأكاديمى العالمى للبيولوجيين ومجلس شيوخ ميدهاوى شيام التعليمى بالهند تقديرا لمشاركته العلمية فى مجال العلوم الطبية، ليكون بذلك أول عالم مصرى يحصل على تلك الجائزة. كما تم اختياره كمستشار عبر البحار للمجلس الأكاديمى العالمى للبيولوجيين ليكون أحد اثنين من المستشارين له.

وقال الدكتور سعيد شلبى اليوم, الجمعة - إنه حصل على تلك الجائزة وهذا المنصب على هامش أعمال المؤتمر العالمى للبيولوجيين الذى عقد بمدينة " رانكى " بالهند خلال الفترة من 20 إلى 22 نوفمبر الجارى، موضحا أن جامعة " روهيلخاند " الهندية هى التى رشحته لتلك الجائزة تقديرا لجهوده فى مجال البحوث الطبية.

وأضاف شلبى أن هذه الجائزة العلمية تمنح كل عام لثلاثة علماء فى ثلاثة تخصصات هى علم النبات والتى حصل عليها العام الحالى أحد العلماء الإثيوبيين وعلم الحيوان وحصل عليها أحد علماء الهند ، مشيرا إلى أنه حصل على الجائزة الثالثة الخاصة بالمجال الطبى.

Rachel Corrie

Rachel Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003) was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) who traveled to the Gaza Strip during the Second Intifada. She was killed by a Caterpillar D9 armoured bulldozer operated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) during a protest against the destruction of Palestinian homes by the IDF in the Gaza Strip.The details of the events surrounding Corrie's death are disputed; an Israeli military investigation ruled the death was an accident, while the ISM maintains that Corrie was run over deliberately.



On March 14, 2003 in an interview with the Middle East Broadcasting network, she said: "I feel like I'm witnessing the systematic destruction of a people's ability to survive ... Sometimes I sit down to dinner with people and I realize there is a massive military machine surrounding us, trying to kill the people I'm having dinner with."

Subhan Allah a great Nasheed.. I love it when They Sing without any instruments because words that are said for sake of Allah and His Prophet don't need anything to distract people, Because the glory of these words are enough.

This is one of the best Songs as it shows the beauty of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

I guess most western think the same as this woman thought but if they read his biography they will react the same way as woman did... but they didn't give themselves a chance.

السياسة في حياة الجاليات المسلمة

قد يبدو أن مشاركةَ الجاليات المسلمة في الغرب في انتخابات الرئاسة هناك، أمرٌ بَدَهِيٌّ لا بد من فعله والإسهام فيه، وقد يبدو لنا أن الاستبيان الذي وضعناه على موقعنا بخصوص هذه المشاركة لا معنى له؛ فالأغلبية الساحقة (83%) من المشاركين في الاستبيان اختاروا أن تشارك الجاليات المسلمة في الغرب في انتخابات الرئاسة. قد يبدو لنا أن هذه المشاركة أمرٌ واضحٌ لا يحتاج لمناقشة، ولكن الواقع - للأسف - ليس كذلك! إن قليلاً من الجاليات المسلمة في البلاد الغربية يشارك في انتخابات الرئاسة أو مجالس الشعب والمحليات، وبالتالي فلا يهتم - عادةً - أيٌّ من الرؤساء المرشحين باستقطاب المسلمين، أو الجري وراء أصواتهم! وبالتالي فليست هناك وعود إصلاحية خاصة بالمسلمين أثناء الدعاية الانتخابية للرؤساء في أمريكا وأوربا، وهذا أمر لافت للنظر؛ لأن أعداد الجاليات المسلمة في البلاد الغربية ليست قليلة، ولكن الواضح أن المسألة ليست بالعدد! إن عدد المسلمين في أمريكا يزيد على ستة ملايين، وتصل بهم بعض التقديرات إلى عشرة ملايين، وعدد المسلمين في فرنسا يزيد على سبعة ملايين، ويصل أيضًا في بعض التقديرات إلى عشرة ملايين. أما المسلمون في ألمانيا فيصلون إلى أربعة ملايين، وكذلك المسلمون في بريطانيا يصلون إلى نفس العدد تقريبًا، ويصل عدد المسلمين في إيطاليا إلى أكثر من مليون مسلم، فأين كل هذه الجموع في الأحداث الكبرى في البلاد التي يعيشون فيها؟! وأين تأثيرهم على القرار هناك؟! لقد أعلن إبراهيم هوبر المتحدث باسم مجلس العلاقات الأمريكية الإسلامية (كير) بأن أيًّا من الزعيمين أوباما وماكين لم يتصل أصلاً بأي قيادة إسلامية لضمان الحصول على أصوات المسلمين!! ولا بد لنا من وقفة.. لماذا يصل الوضع إلى هذه الصورة مع أن المسلمين في تزايد مستمر في البلاد الغربية؟! والإجابة في رؤيتي تشمل عدة أسباب: أولاً: لقد انتقل المسلمون إلى أوربا وأمريكا وهم يحملون كل الأمراض التي أصيبوا بها في بلادهم الإسلامية الأصلية! وهذه الأمراض كثيرة، ويأتي على رأسها مرض السلبية القاتل، والذي تعوَّد عليه في بلاد المسلمين التي تُحْكَم في معظمها بأنظمة ديكتاتورية لا تسمح بأي رأي إصلاحي أو معارض، وإن سمحت أحيانًا فإنها لا تلبث أن تزوِّره وتعبث به، ولو أصرَّ صاحب الصوت المعارض على الكلام، فإنه يُكَمَّم أو يُحبس وقد يقتل! وهذا دفع أجيالاً كاملة أن تعيش في الظلام، وأن تقبل بالضيم، وأن تخشى من فكرة الاعتراض، وأن تتردد كثيرًا جدًّا في أن تشهد شهادة الحق ولو من وراء ستار، وأن تحذف من قاموسها تمامًا كلمة "لا"! ثم انتقل فريق من هؤلاء للعيش في بلاد الغرب وهم يحملون أوزارهم، فلم يلحظوا أن البيئة تغيرت، وأنه أصبح مسموحًا أن تقول رأيك، وأن أوراق اللُّعبة مختلفة عن تلك التي نراها في بلادنا المنكوبة، فعاشوا كما يقولون في "سلام"، وجعلوا شعارهم "دع ما لقيصر لقيصر، وما لله لله"! وهكذا رأت هذه الطائفة - وهي ليست قليلة - أنهم يكفيهم فخرًا أنهم "يعيشون" في أمريكا أو أوربا، فلا داعي للطموح الأهوج في تغيير الأنظمة هناك! كان هذا هو السبب الأول في انعزال المسلمين عن الساحة السياسية في البلاد الغربية. ثانيًا: يعاني المسلمون أيضًا في بلاد الغرب من مشكلة الخوف الدائم من من تهمة الإرهاب، بل ويعاني بعضهم من الخوف من تهمة "الإسلام"! فقد أصبح الإسلام بعد أحداث 11 سبتمبر 2001 في حد ذاته تهمة قد تكون خطيرة! ومن جرَّاء هذا الخوف الدائم أصبح كثير من المسلمين يتجنبون الإعلان عن هويتهم أصلاً، فما بالكم بالإعلان عن أنهم يؤيدون حزبًا على حساب آخر! وماذا يحدث لو خسر الحزب الذي يؤيدونه؟ وماذا سيكون مصيري حينئذٍ؟ هل سيكون الطرد من الوظيفة؟ أم سيكون الإرسال إلى أحد المعتقلات؟ أم سيكون الأسوأ والأفدح وهو سحب الجنسية الغربية وإعادة الرجل إلى بلاده الإسلامية؟!! هذا كابوس يدفع كثيرًا من المسلمين إلى طمس هويتهم، أو عدم الإفصاح عنها أبدًا. ولقد قابلت أحد المسلمين في بريطانيا وهو شخصية علمية مؤثرة، ومع ذلك فقد قال لي إنه قد جاءهم في أحد الأيام استبيان من الحكومة الإنجليزية يسألون فيه عن أمور كثيرة في حياة الشخص بهدف الإحصاء، وكان من هذه الأمور دين الشخص، وكان هذا السؤال اختياريًّا؛ لأن الدولة علمانية، ولا تستطيع أن تفرض عليك أن تعلن دينك، وكان اختيار هذه الشخصية المسلمة ألاَّ يكتب شيئًا في مكان الديانة، مع أن الإحصاء لو أظهر أن عدد المسلمين كبير في بريطانيا، فإنهم قد يعملون لهم حسابًا في قوانينهم وانتخاباتهم ومعاملاتهم مع الدول الإسلامية، ولكن آثر التخفي لكي لا يصيبه ضرر، وقال: إن المسلمين إذا كانوا غير واضحين ولا معروفين؛ فهذا أدعى لطول بقائهم! لقد نسي هذا الشخص أن الغرب لو رأى أن الذي أمامه لا وزن له ولا تأثير، فإنه لن يتردد في سحقه بقدمه عند أول فرصة! ثالثًا: يعاني المسلمون أيضًا في البلاد الغربية من ضعف الخبرة في المجالات السياسية، فليس هناك - فيما رأيت بنفسي - توعية سياسية مناسبة للجاليات المسلمة، وبالتالي فهم لا يعرفون ماذا ينبغي لهم أن يفعلوا، ولا يدركون حقيقة مزايا مرشح عن آخر، ولا يعلمون آليات إنشاء عمل سياسي محترف. وقد يرجع ذلك إلى أن معظم أفراد الجاليات المسلمة قد هاجروا إلى البلاد الغربية بُغْيَةَ التربح أو الدراسة، وهؤلاء ليسوا من السياسيين عادةً، بل إن كثيرًا منهم يعتبرون أن الكلام في السياسة حرامٌ وعيب ولا يصح؛ لأنهم تعلموا ذلك في بلادهم المسحوقة! رابعًا: القلة من المسلمين لا يشاركون في أي أعمال سياسية؛ بسبب أنهم يرون عدم جواز ذلك شرعًا، وهم يعتقدون أنهم إذا شاركوا عن طريق الانتخاب أو الترشيح، فإن ذلك يعني إقرار الأنظمة الوضعية، وهي تحكم بغير ما أنزل الله؛ ولذا فلا يجوز التعاون معهم في رؤيتهم. والحق أن هذه الرؤية قاصرة؛ لأن المسلم لا ينتخب أحد الرؤساء الغربيين لكي يقول له: أوافقك على الربا والإباحية والظلم، إنما ينتخبه لكي يعدِّل من القوانين والسياسات بما يخدم مصالح المسلمين، ومن ثَمَّ فإنه يرشِّح رئيسًا دون آخر بحثًا عن مصلحة المسلمين، وليس إقرارًا لباطلٍ هم عليه. خامسًا: وهذه من أهم أسباب فقدان التأثير، وهي فُرقة المسلمين في البلاد الغربية بشكل لافت للنظر، فليس هناك رابط بأي صورة من الصور يجمع المسلمين تحت راية واحدة في أي قطر غربي، بل إن المساجد لا تتحد معًا أبدًا، وليس هذا على مستوى القطر الواحد بل على مستوى المدينة الواحدة في داخل القطر، بل كثيرًا ما تجد المساجد المختلفة والهيئات المختلفة تتصارع وتتنافس ويخالف بعضها بعضًا. ولا يخفى على أحدٍ الجدالُ السنوي الذي يتم في داخل كل مدينة، بل وفي داخل كل مسجد كل سنة في أول رمضان على موعد الصيام، وعلى طريقة رؤية الهلال، وكذلك عند عيد الفطر. وليس مستغربًا أن تجد في داخل المدينة الواحدة من يصوم ومن يفطر في نفس اليوم! إن داء الفُرقة هذا مدمِّر، ولا تقوم للأمة قائمة بغير وَحْدة، وهذا الداء الخطير يفسِّر ضعف المسلمين سياسيًّا في أمريكا وأوربا؛ فحتى لو عرف المسلمون قيمة المشاركة الإيجابية، وعرفوا أن فلانًا أفضل من غيره، فأي رابط يربطهم؟ وأي متحدث رسمي يتحدث باسمهم؟ وهل يملك هذا المتحدث أو هذا الرابط أي سلطة توجيهية للجموع الإسلامية أم أنه سيقول كلامًا، وتفعل الجالية خلافه؟ وما هي آليات اختيار هذه الهيئة الرسمية؟ وكيف تكتسب ثقةً في الجالية؟ إن هذه الأسئلة لن يتم الإجابة عليها إلا من خلال وحدة حقيقية بين أفراد الجالية المسلمة في كل قطر، بل لا أبالغ في أحلامي إن قلت: إنَّه يجب أن يكون هناك تواصل بين أفراد الجاليات المسلمة في البلاد المختلفة؛ لكي نتبادل الخبرة بين هذه الجاليات في أمريكا وفرنسا وبريطانيا وألمانيا وغيرها، بل أكثر من ذلك: لماذا لا يكون هناك تواصل بين الجاليات المسلمة والهيئات الأخرى غير الإسلامية الموجودة في الغرب، سواءٌ كانت هذه الهيئات سياسية أم قومية لإحدى الجاليات أو العرقيات لتكوين جبهة واحدة تُدفع في اتجاه واحد يصبُّ في مصلحة المسلمين؟! وليس معنى كل ما سبق أن أفراد الجاليات المسلمة في الغرب لا يعلمون، بل إن منهم الكثير ممن يتحرك بقوة لخدمة مصالح المسلمين، ومنهم من عنده وضوح رؤية كامل، ومنهم من يهتم بأمور الدعوة والأسرة والجالية بصفة عامة، لكن ما زال الأثر أقل بكثير من الإمكانيات، وما زالت النتائج أقل بكثير من الطموحات. ولا شك أن الأمر يحتاج إلى وقفات ووقفات، خاصةً أننا نرى أن غيرنا ممن بدأ بعدنا، أو يملك أقل من قدراتنا، قد سبقنا وتقدم علينا، وهذا لا يستقيم لأمة وُصِفَتْ بأنها خير أمة أخرجت للناس. ونسأل الله عز وجل أن يعز الإسلام والمسلمين. منقول من: http://www.islamstory.com/article.php?id=3602

مصطفى السيد.. بالذهب يشفي السرطان

لم يهتم العالم المصري المولد والنشأة الأمريكي الجنسية مصطفى السيد بجمال الذهب والفضة ورونقهما، كما لم تفتح شهيته قيمتهما العالية للكنز والحيازة، ولكن الخصائص الطبيعية والكيميائية لأصغر دقائقهما هي التي أثارت فضوله بحثا واستقصاء ودراسة في إطار ما يطلق عليها النانو تكنولوجي، والعكوف على التطبيقات الواعدة في عدة مجالات، ومنها الطب.

نجح الأستاذ الدكتور مصطفى السيد بمعاونة فريقه الذي يقوده في معمل ديناميكيات الليزر بمدينة أطلنطا الأمريكية في التوصل لأول مرة لشفاء سرطان الجلد بنسبة 100% على الحيوانات، وذلك باستخدام قضبان ذهب أو فضة فائقة الدقة والصغر Nanorods في رصد الخلايا السرطانية والالتصاق بها ثم بإطلاق شعاع ليزر منخفض الطاقة تكتسب هذه القضبان حرارة كافية لإتلاف الخلايا الشريرة بينما لا تمس الخلايا السليمة في الجسم بسوء في آلية تعد الأولى من نوعها.

البروفيسور مصطفى السيد في سبيله للبدء في إجراء تجاربه على البشر، وعما قريب - إن شاء الله - قد تطيّر وكالات الأنباء خبر حصوله على جائزة نوبل - أمد الله في عمره - حيث ذكرت وكالة أنباء الشرق الأوسط أن العالم المصري يتوقع تطبيق اختراعه في علاج السرطان بقذائف الذهب النانوية خلال سبع سنوات من الآن.

هذا الفتح العلمي دفع الرئيس الأمريكي بوش لاستقبال العالم الكبير في حفل يقام بالبيت الأبيض مساء الإثنين 29-9-2008 ليكرمه على ما أسداه للبشرية من خدمات جليلة، ويحتفي به ويمنحه قلادة العلوم الوطنية الأمريكية التي تعد من أرفع الأوسمة الأمريكية في العلوم، عرفانا لإنجازاته في مجال التكنولوجيا الدقيقة المعروفة باسم (النانو) وتطبيقه لهذه التكنولوجيا في علاج السرطان.

وبحسب حيثيات منحه الوسام الأعلى للعلوم في أمريكا لعام 2007 فإنه يأتي تقديرا لإسهاماته في التعرف على وفهم الخصائص الإلكترونية والبصرية للمواد النانوية وتطبيقها في التحفيز النانوي والطب النانوي ولجهوده الإنسانية للتبادل بين الدول ولدوره في تطوير قيادات علوم المستقبل، ويرشح لهذه الجائزة التي تمنح سنويا في مختلف مجالات العلوم ثمانية من العلماء الأمريكيين.

سيرة حافلة ومسيرة ممتدة

والواقع أن المتابع لسيرة الدكتور مصطفى السيد سوف يجدها حافلة بالعمل الجاد الدءوب الذي أثمر العديد من الأبحاث والأوراق العلمية فاقت الخمسمائة مطبوعة، ولذلك نال العديد من الجوائز عبر مسيرته، حتى تبوأ في النهاية رئاسة وقيادة معمل ديناميكيات الليزر، حيث يعاونه هناك أكثر من 70 باحثا للدكتوراه، فضلا عن مؤازرة زهاء 40 زميلا آخر من حملة الدكتوراه و20 أستاذا زائرا.

بدأت مسيرة الدكتور مصطفى بالتخرج في كلية العلوم جامعة عين شمس عام 1953، وهي الفترة التي قال إنها زرعت فيه أسس الطموح العلمي الذي غرسه فيه أساتذة مصريون عظام، كما أمضى العديد من السنوات بحثا ودراسة في جامعات أمريكية مرموقة مثل ييل وهارفارد ومعهد كاليفورنيا للتكنولوجيا، وأخيرا معهد جورجيا للتكنولوجيا، حيث يتربع على كرسي جوليوس هناك.

وقد انتخب الدكتور مصطفى السيد عضوا بالأكاديمية الوطنية للعلوم بالولايات المتحدة عام 1980، وتولى وعلى مدى 24 عاما رئاسة تحرير "مجلة علوم الكيمياء الطبيعية"، وهي من أهم المجلات العلمية في العالم.

كما حصل على جائزة الملك فيصل العالمية للعلوم عام 1990 والعديد من الجوائز الأكاديمية العلمية من مؤسسات العلوم الأمريكية المختلفة، ومنح زمالة أكاديمية علوم وفنون السينما الأمريكية، وعضوية الجمعية الأمريكية لعلوم الطبيعة، والجمعية الأمريكية لتقدم العلوم، وأكاديمية العالم الثالث للعلوم.

الفتح العلمي الكبير

والحقيقة أن المعمل الذي يقوده الدكتور مصطفى معني بالعديد من الدراسات والأبحاث العلمية وعدد من التطبيقات التقنية، أهم ما يعنينا فيها دراسة استخدام الدقائق النانوية nanoparticles في الطب وهو توجه هام في التقنية النانوية nanotechnology، والأهم أن دقائق الذهب والفضة لهما خصائص ضوئية فيما يتعلق بامتصاص سطحهما للضوء وتشتيته دفعت الدكتور مصطفى وفريقه إلى تطبيقها في مجال الطب وتحديدا سرطان الجلد.

هذه الخصائص لا سيما المحسنة منها فيما يتعلق بامتصاص الضوء وجد أنها تتحول لحرارة بعد أن تلتصق بالخلايا الخبيثة السرطانية وحدها، وقد استغل هذا فيما يعرف باسم العلاج الضوء حراري الانتقائي selective photothermal therapy وبذلك يمكن أن تستهدف خلايا السرطان وحدها.

وقد انصبت الدراسة والبحث من الناحية التشخيصية على سرطان الجلد، حيث وجد أن دقائق الذهب أو الفضة الكرية spherical gold or silver nanoparticles تلتصق بالخلايا السرطانية الخبيثة وحدها، وبذلك يمكنها رصد أي ورم بالجلد، حيث تتجمع دقائق الذهب النانوية لتشكل طبقة مضيئة على جسم الخلية المريضة وحدها عند الرصد تحت المجهر، بينما لا ترى الخلايا السليمة فتبدو مثل كوكبة مضيئة وسط مجال معتم.

ثم بتسليط شعاع ليزر مرئي منخفض الطاقة على هذه الدقائق تتحول إلى حرارة بامتصاص ضوء الليزر تذيب الخلية السرطانية.

تظهر الصورة الخلايا السرطانية مضيئة بفعل التصاقها بالذهب

ويمكن ملاحظة الفارق الواضح في الصورة السابقة (يسار) حيث تظهر تحت الميكروسكوب دقائق الذهب كأجسام فائقة الصغر مضيئة وسط مجال معتم، ما يعني قدرة انتقائية فائقة لدقائق الذهب للالتصاق بالخلايا المتسرطنة السطحية بالجلد.

لا يعنيهم من أمر الفضة والذهب سوى التختم والتسور والزينة، بينما ألهبت الصفراء والبيضاء خيال الشعراء وانصب اهتمامهم على الرونق والبريق، لكن الدكتور مصطفى يعطي للذهب قيمة أعلى وبريقا أسطع عندما يستخدم المعدنين النفيسين في شفاء مرضى السرطان الألعن.

“If You Think Your Life Is Hard… Think Again!”

A truly awesome story about a child, named Nick Vujicic born without limbs and how he faced the challenges and obstacles in his life.

Nick is in early twenties now and has completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. He’s a motivational speaker and travels to many countries sharing his life stories and giving motivational talks to encourage students through topics that challenge today’s teenagers.

I felt so sad the moment I saw his photos when he’s a child. So sorry for him. He’s such a beautiful baby! Somehow, it’s amazing that he’s pulled through the difficulties and hardships in his life! I think his parents has done a great job giving him all the love, strength, encouragement & support.

I couldn’t imagine myself if I’m in his parents’ shoe having the strength, courage & sacrifice accepting and bringing up the baby! I’m really, really, really thankful that I’ve been blessed with a healthy baby without any defects!
