One day I was talking to a friend telling her why don't we have a Role Model.. Someone to be followed by people or a good person to be "Qodwa قدوة"..
I found some reasons..
1. Maybe because we set high standards for Role Models to be compared with a real person (Perfection).
2. Because we are searching Only for alive Role Model, what about people who were great and made a great difference but they have died ? (i.e.: Prophet Muhammad -- PBUH)
3. Thinking that if we can't find a Role Model for our own, why can't we be the Role Model for others :) ?!! .
* So I found that we can go to the past 1400 yrs ago to the prophet's day and read his Biography to learn from him as Sa7aba did.
لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيراً .. الأحزاب21
* And also that Perfection is for Allah only, we can find alot of people who has something good that we can learn from.. it depends on how we focus on the good side and learn from it, leaving the bad side.
* Last thing You can be the Candle that Lights others :) .. so why not trying to be a "Qodwa".
